Experts estimate that 30% of agricultural yields are affected by pests and diseases despite intensive chemical pesticide use. Natural control with predators, parasitoids and pathogens can play a major role in limiting this crop damage. This is the focus theme of the first edition of International Conference on Biological Control or ICBC-2018.

The ICBC-2018 conference will address issues related to biological control in the context of biodiversity, increased chemical pesticide pressure and climate change. There will be sessions on the challenges faced by researchers, farmers and other stakeholders in implementing biological control programs. There are various sub-themes too – such as Conservation Strategies, Biotechnological Approaches in Biocontrol, Biological Control: Industrial Perspective and Policy Issues and much more in addition to the keynote addresses and presentations.

The conference will be held on September 27th to 29th, 2018, at Le Meridian Bangalore.

Hotel Trinity Isle welcomes the ICBC-2018 delegates with a special offer on business class accommodation just 10 minutes drive from the venue.
